50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct, although it flashes signs of greatness, is far from qualifying as a solid album. Hard, grimey, hood-rap tracks like
"The Invitation" where 50 invites any contenders to challenge him, and
"So Disrespectful" where 50 takes clear shots and Game and Young Buck are highlights on the album along with a couple other tracks of the same caliber. Other than that, the rest of the album is alot of filler and failed hooks. A mainstream hit finds it's way onto the album in the form of
"Baby By Me" but also completely sways the lyrical content and throws off the feel of the project. Couldn't listen to this all the way through.
